About Dr. Arvinder Singh Bali
The person before the protocol.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Bali is an Ayurvedic doctor with more than 22 years of clinical experience.
He completed his BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from the Government Ayurvedic College, Punjab. He has years of experience in clinical handling of patients and as Doctor In-Charge at an Ayurveda centre in Chandigarh.
During his practice, Dr. Bali has treated over 3 lakh patients with a wide range of health issues. He still practices from the platform of classical Ayurveda, but has taken into account the realities of modern healthcare and modern lifestyles.
Traditional Ayurvedic assessment, Nadi (pulse), tongue examination, Prakriti and Vikriti, is a crucial part of his understanding of each case. He looks at the patient's history, current concerns, lifestyle and current care to help develop a more complete picture of the patient.
But what marks Dr. Bali's practice isn't just the number of years he's worked or the number of patients he's seen.
It is the way he takes time to understand the person before deciding what care may be appropriate.

The assessment
Understanding the Person Before Recommending the Treatment
A condition may have the same name in two people. That does not mean the two people are the same.
Their constitution, symptoms, digestion, lifestyle, health history, and present imbalances may be very different. In Ayurveda, these differences matter because they help the physician understand why a condition may be presenting differently in one person than another.
This is why Dr. Bali begins with assessment.
Before recommending care, he takes time to understand the individual from an Ayurvedic and clinical perspective.
His assessment may include
- Nadi (pulse) assessment
- Tongue examination
- Prakriti assessment
- Vikriti assessment
- Detailed case history
- Discussion of symptoms, lifestyle, and relevant health concerns
No single observation determines the treatment. These findings are considered together to build a clearer picture of the individual's constitution and present state.

From Assessment to a Personalised Plan
Once the assessment is complete, Dr. Bali develops recommendations around the individual's needs.
Depending on the person and clinical situation, care may include dietary and lifestyle guidance, Ayurvedic formulations or other appropriate Ayurvedic interventions.
The intention is not to apply the same solution to everyone who shares a diagnosis. It is to understand the individual first, then determine what care may be appropriate for them.
A classical Ayurvedic principle
श्रुते पर्यवदातत्वं बहुशो दृष्टकर्मता।
दाक्ष्यं शौचमिति ज्ञेयं वैद्ये गुणचतुष्टयम्॥The Charaka Samhita describes four qualities of a physician: sound knowledge, clinical experience, skill and integrity.
For Dr. Bali, these principles remain relevant to the practice of Ayurveda today.
Formal education provides the foundation. Clinical experience develops judgement. Careful assessment helps the physician understand the individual. And integrity means recognising that every patient has a different health story.
