Conditions Dr. Bali Treats with Classical Ayurveda
One page per condition: the direct answer, who it is for, how the assessment reads it, what treatment includes, when to see a local doctor first, and the questions patients ask most.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Bali, BAMS, treats chronic and recurring conditions with classical Ayurveda: assessment of Prakriti and Vikriti first, then diet, routine, herbal formulations and, where indicated, Panchakarma or Ksharasutra in Chandigarh. Patients in India and abroad are assessed the same way, in person or by video, and prescribed medication is never stopped without the prescriber.

Anorectal
- Piles (haemorrhoids)ArshaAyurveda treats piles (Arsha) by correcting the sluggish digestion and constipation that keep the rectal veins under pressure, then shrinking the pile mass with herbal formulations, Basti and, for suitable grades, Ksharasutra ligation.
- Anal fissureParikartikaAyurveda treats anal fissure (Parikartika) by softening the stool and relaxing the sphincter so the tear can close, using diet correction, mild formulations such as Triphala, medicated sitz baths and healing oils such as Jatyadi Taila.
- Fistula-in-anoBhagandaraAyurveda treats fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara) with Ksharasutra, a medicated thread passed through the tract that cuts and heals it gradually over several weeks.

Joints & spine
- Arthritis and joint painSandhivata · AmavataAyurveda separates two arthritis patterns: Sandhivata, the dry wearing of joints that matches osteoarthritis, and Amavata, the inflammatory, migrating joint disease that resembles rheumatoid arthritis.
- Cervical spondylosisManyastambha · Greeva GrahaAyurveda treats cervical spondylosis as a Vata disorder of the neck (Greeva Graha, Manyastambha): dryness and wear in the discs and joints stiffen the neck and irritate the nerves to the arm.
- Back pain and sciaticaKati Shoola · GridhrasiAyurveda treats low back pain (Kati Shoola) and sciatica (Gridhrasi) as Vata disorders of the lumbar spine: dryness and strain in the discs and muscles, and nerve irritation where a disc bulges.

Digestive
- Acidity and GERDAmlapittaAyurveda treats acidity and GERD (Amlapitta) by correcting the disturbed Agni and excess Pitta that sour the stomach, rather than by suppressing acid alone.
- IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)GrahaniAyurveda treats irritable bowel syndrome as Grahani, a weakness of digestive fire and the small intestine that lets food pass half-digested, with stool alternating between loose and hard, bloating and cramping.
- Chronic constipationVibandhaAyurveda treats chronic constipation (Vibandha) as a disorder of Apana Vata and weak Agni rather than a shortage of laxatives.

Mind & sleep
- Insomnia and poor sleepAnidraAyurveda treats insomnia (Anidra) by settling the Vata and Pitta disturbance that keeps the mind active at night, then rebuilding a daily rhythm the body can follow.
- AnxietyChittodvegaAyurveda treats anxiety (Chittodvega) as a Vata disturbance of the mind: too much movement, too little steadiness.
- Chronic stress and burnoutOjakshayaAyurveda treats chronic stress and burnout as depletion of Ojas, the reserve that gives the body resilience, from overwork, poor sleep, irregular food and worry.
- Migraine and chronic headacheArdhavabhedakaAyurveda treats migraine (Ardhavabhedaka) by finding what drives the attacks, usually a mix of Vata and Pitta disturbance fed by skipped meals, poor sleep, acidity and strain, and correcting it.

Skin & hair
- PsoriasisKitibha · EkakushthaAyurveda treats psoriasis (Kitibha or Ekakushtha) as a Kushtha, a skin disorder rooted in all three Doshas with vitiated blood (Rakta), fed by incompatible food, stress and weak digestion.
- Eczema (atopic dermatitis)VicharchikaAyurveda treats eczema (Vicharchika) as a skin disorder driven by impaired digestion and accumulated Pitta and Kapha in the blood and skin tissue.
- Hair loss (hair fall)KhalityaAyurveda treats hair loss (Khalitya) by finding what is driving it, since hair fall is usually a sign of something upstream: heat in the scalp, poor nutrition of tissue, thyroid or iron problems, hormonal imbalance or stress.
07 / 08
Metabolic
- Thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism)GalagandaAyurveda supports hypothyroidism by treating the sluggish metabolism, weight gain, fatigue and hair loss that come with it, reading the pattern as Kapha and Meda (fat tissue) accumulation with low Agni.
- Type 2 diabetesMadhumehaAyurveda supports type 2 diabetes (Madhumeha) by working on the Kapha-Meda pattern and weak Agni that sit beneath it: diet suited to your digestion, exercise, and formulations such as Vijaysar, Gudmar, Amalaki and Haridra.
- Fatty liverMedoroga (Yakrit)Ayurveda treats fatty liver as Kapha and Meda (fat tissue) accumulating in the liver (Yakrit) because Agni is weak and intake exceeds what the body can process.
- Obesity and weight managementSthaulyaAyurveda treats obesity (Sthaulya) as a disorder of fat tissue (Meda) and Agni: food is eaten faster than the body can process it, fat builds, the channels block, and appetite rises.

Can these conditions be treated online?
