What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what your consultation or enquiry needs, we treat health information as sensitive, and we never sell your data.

01

Who we are

CalmVida operates calm-vida.com, an Ayurvedic healthcare practice led by Dr. Arvinder Singh Bali, offering online consultations for patients in India and abroad, alongside a catalogue of single-origin Ayurvedic supplements. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

If you have any question about this policy or your information, write to hello@calmvida.com. We respond within two business days.

02

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service you ask for:

  • Contact enquiries: your name, email address, and the message you send us.
  • Consultation bookings: your name, email address, country and time zone, preferred appointment windows, and the concern you want to discuss.
  • Consultation intake: health information you choose to share before and during your appointment, such as current concerns, health history, medications, diet, digestion, sleep, and lifestyle.
  • Technical data: standard server logs and analytics events, including pages visited, approximate location at city level, browser type, and device type.

We do not ask for, and you should not send, payment card details by email or through the contact form.

03

Health information

The health details you share for a consultation are sensitive, and we treat them that way. They are used only to prepare for and conduct your consultation, to develop your personalized care plan, and to provide follow-up care. They are accessible to Dr. Bali and the small team that supports the practice, and to no one else.

We never sell health information, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties except the service providers that host and deliver the practice, as described below.

04

How we use your information

  • To schedule, conduct, and follow up on your consultation.
  • To respond to enquiries about products, sourcing, testing, or certificates of analysis.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • To meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations that apply to a healthcare practice.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it. Any marketing email we send will include a working unsubscribe link.

05

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to understand how the site is used, in aggregate: which pages are read, how fast they load, and where visitors come from. These tools set cookies or use similar identifiers.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site works without them. Where the law of your region requires consent for analytics cookies, we rely on the choice you express through your browser and any consent controls we present.

06

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make the site and practice run, each bound to use it solely on our instructions:

  • Hosting and infrastructure (Vercel), which serves the website and processes form submissions.
  • Analytics (Google, Vercel), which receive aggregate usage data.
  • Email and scheduling providers used to confirm and conduct appointments.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of a patient, the public, or CalmVida.

07

International transfers

CalmVida's practice is based in India, and our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States. Wherever your information travels, it stays under this policy and the safeguards our providers commit to. If you consult us from Canada, the USA, the UK, or elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in India for the purpose of your consultation.

08

Retention

We keep consultation records for as long as needed to provide continuing care and to meet medical record-keeping obligations. Contact enquiries are kept for up to two years. Analytics data is retained per the provider's standard rolling windows. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

09

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, Canada's PIPEDA, and US state privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to medical record-keeping obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@calmvida.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeline your local law sets.

10

Children

The website and consultations are intended for adults. We provide care to a minor only through a parent or legal guardian, who books the consultation, provides the information, and attends the appointment.

11

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle health information, we will tell existing patients directly by email before it takes effect.
