Speak Directly With Dr. Bali
Your consultation is with Dr. Bali himself, rather than a rotating panel of practitioners. This allows your history, assessment, and recommendations to remain connected throughout the consultation, whichever emirate you live in.
An Individual Approach to Care
Your health concern is only one part of the picture. Dr. Bali considers your health history, constitution, digestion, lifestyle, current concerns, and existing care when discussing an Ayurvedic approach suited to your needs.
Formulations, shipping and the law
Formulations Dr. Bali prescribes are dispensed in India and shipped to your UAE address by tracked courier, usually within 7 to 14 days. Each parcel carries an itemized invoice, an ingredient declaration, Dr. Bali's prescription letter and the batch certificate of analysis so that Dubai Customs and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) can clear it as a personal-use herbal product.
- Dubai Customs and MOHAP allow personal-use quantities of herbal products when the parcel carries a prescription, invoice and ingredient declaration, and every shipment stays within a three-month supply.
- Calmvida formulations are not registered with MOHAP as medicines or health supplements; they are shipped for personal use on Dr. Bali's prescription.
- Mineral-based classical preparations (Bhasma) are not shipped to the UAE. Dr. Bali prescribes plant-based formulations for patients abroad.
- Every batch is tested by an independent laboratory for heavy metals, pesticides and microbial contamination; the certificate travels with the parcel and is emailed to you.
- Some herbal ingredients are restricted for import into the UAE, so each prescription is checked against current UAE rules before dispatch, and any customs duty or VAT assessed is the patient's responsibility.
Payment. Fees are confirmed in AED when your booking is accepted, and payment instructions are sent with the confirmation. An AED receipt is issued for every consultation and formulation order.
Dr. Bali is licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. He is not licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the Department of Health Abu Dhabi or MOHAP, and does not practice in the UAE. An online consultation is an Ayurvedic assessment and guidance provided from India; any in-person care in the UAE must be with a UAE-licensed practitioner, and the consultation cannot issue UAE prescriptions or provide emergency care.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a real medical consultation, or is it wellness coaching?
This is a one-on-one Ayurvedic consultation with Dr. Arvinder Singh Bali, a qualified Ayurvedic physician with a BAMS degree and over 22 years of clinical practice. He reviews your health history and concerns and discusses personalized Ayurvedic guidance that is relevant to your situation.
What times are consultations available in the UAE?
The UAE follows Gulf Standard Time across all seven emirates, ninety minutes behind India, so appointments for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman are booked from the available morning and after-work slots without a large time difference to work around.
Are Ayurvedic remedies legal and safe to use in the UAE?
Requirements can vary depending on the type of care or formulation involved. Formulations prescribed by Dr. Bali are shipped for personal use with a prescription letter and full documentation. Patients should follow the applicable UAE requirements and should not assume that an Ayurvedic formulation has UAE regulatory approval unless this has been specifically confirmed.
How is this different from an Ayurvedic centre in Dubai?
With Calmvida, you consult Dr. Bali directly, a named physician with more than two decades of clinical practice in India. Your appointment is a one-on-one video consultation rather than an appointment allocated to a rotating panel of practitioners. Any in-person therapy in the UAE should be with a UAE-licensed practitioner.
Can I book a single consultation, or do I need an ongoing program?
You can book an individual consultation. At the appointment Dr. Bali will listen to your concerns and explain what the next steps should be based on your individual situation.
Do I need to come to India for my online consultation?
No. You can do the consultation itself online securely from the UAE. Whether any future face to face care or travel is appropriate will depend on your individual circumstances.
